Tlaxcala Neighborhood.

The Tlaxcala neighborhood was founded in 1528 with the arrival of the Spanish. It was inhabited by the Tlaxcalans who arrived with them, settling on the right side of the Yellow River. Its church is located just past the Mexicanos bridge.

For centuries this neighborhood, along with the Mexicans, were the gateway to the city and until five years ago, there were the remains of the stone path that started from the mentioned bridge and ended at the foot of the Milpoleta.

Traditions:
Currently, the Virgin of Ocotlán is celebrated on February 27, where parades with floats are organized through the main streets of the neighborhood, rockets and bombs are burned, and candy and punch stands are placed in the neighborhood's Plazuela.
The historical activity of this neighborhood has been the elaboration of adobe, tiles and wax. Currently, some people from this neighborhood make typical sweets and are engaged in the trade of various products from the region.
