La Enseñanza

On August 15, 1915, Professor María Adelina Flores and Engineer Carlos Z. Flores founded "La Enseñanza", an educational institution from which dozens of women and men graduated who gave impetus to education in Chiapas." La Enseñanza was one of the most important educational centers in Chiapas and one of the factors that promoted San Cristóbal de Las Casas as one of the most important bastions of education in the Southeast of the Mexican Republic", La Enseñanza, Casa de la Ciudad, seeks to promote, protect and preserve the cultural, architectural and environmental heritage of San Cristóbal de Las Casas. It is currently managed by the Na Bolom A.C. Cultural Association and functions as a cultural center.
